(Advertising) Graffiti Strikes Ocean Front Walk
Not so long ago, Ocean Front Walk was known for
its murals (among other things). Lately it seems on its way to being known for
its visual pollution and alcohol ads. Are recovering alcoholics allowed to walk
down our Boardwalk any longer?
According to the city’s Building and Safety
Dept., the signs are most likely illegal.
An Inspector told the Beachhead that
property owners will knowingly violate the law because they can make $20,000 -
$50,000 a month allowing visual pollution.
Why aren’t LAPD helicopters
circling these buildings instead of harassing penny-ante drug dealers in
Oakwood?
