But there’s a Moon Over Venice tonight


Ain’t got no friends in city hall
Ain’t got nobody I can call
Ain’t got nobody who I helped
when times were tight
But I’ve no need to fear
I know the coast is clear
Cause there’s a Moon Over Venice tonight.

I’ve got my eyes - to watch her shining
I’ve got my ears to hear the ocean roar
And there’s a big bed of sand for reclining
Who could call for anything more?
